-1 to 1: From Homelessness to Building a Holding Company

This newsletter is for entrepreneurs, operators, investors, and policymakers.

Hey there,

I’m Ajwang Rading. First off, welcome to my newsletter and thank you for joining! You're now part of our growing community, and I'm thrilled to have you on board.

This newsletter reaches over 34,000 people, primarily throughout Silicon Valley, but also throughout the state of California, the American South (where I first began my investments), and overseas.

Who is this newsletter for?

Simply put, if you aspire to build something GREAT for society through entrepreneurship and/or public service, then I believe we have to surround with those likeminded and learn from those currently in the doing the work.

This newsletter is for those who want to build something REAL, particularly in light of a marketplace that often focuses on optics rather than tangible results. This is for builders in the following categories:

  • Investors (aspirants, tech, real estate, private equity, small businesses)

  • Policy lovers

  • First-gen (anything)

  • Athletes (or anyone competitive)

  • Founders

  • Politicos

  • Global citizens

  • Lifelong students

  • Anyone with an immigrant, hustle mindset

  • Lastly, anyone who loves SharkTank as much as I do

Let’s learn how to laugh this hard too lol

What will this newsletter cover?

  • Operating systems on how I’m overcoming the legacy of poverty and building a modern holding company and private equity vehicle (Hence, not Peter Thiel’s zero to one but rather: -1 to 1).

  • Insights on becoming a GP and raising a fund from 0.

  • Lessons on buying small businesses and starting from scratch.

  • Interviews with millionaires and billionaires (e.g. high tech executives, investors, and unexpected ‘why didn’t I think of that’ money). 💰

  • Analysis on cultural and economic trends in California, the American South, and abroad. 🌍

  • Invitations to my events 👀 (e.g. political events, community conversations, founder/builder intimate dinners, etc).

If you are trying to be a ‘LeBron” in business or policy change, this newsletter is for you!

I look forward to us building and winning together. I’m excited to have you on this journey. Let’s run…

Cheers,

Ajwang Rading
